Monica and I sat down and talked about the creation of this page today. We thought of the name combining SODA with Pop, and that it could be a page to share ideas, thoughts, or even art to promote the non-profit that is SODA. EVERYONE MATTERS AND HAS A PURPOSE
THIS PAST YEAR, WE HAVE LOST MANY LOVED ONES DUE TO COVID AS WELL AS GUN VIOLENCE. FAMILIES ARE HURTING. THEY WERE OUR BROTHERS, SISTERS, MOTHERS, AND FATHERS. THEY SHOULD NOT BE FORGOTTEN.
CAN YOU HEAR THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH AND THE SOUND OF MY VOICE? DO YOU REALLY SEE ME? LISTENING IS WHAT WE NEED TO DO RIGHT NOW, BUT ALSO WE NEED TO RESPOND TO ONE ANOTHER.
PLUS, TODAY IN AMERICA, WE ARE STARTING TO SEE THAT MANY PEOPLES’ VOICES STILL NEED TO BE HEARD.
I AM WRITING THIS ON BEHALF OF MY MANY AFRICAN-AMERICAN AND DIFFERENTLY-ABLED FRIENDS, AS WELL AS MYSELF. EVERYONE – LIFE SHOULD AND MUST MATTER TO ALL OF US. WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. –Monica Ann Shuman
